Quit Smoking Hypnosis in Pittsburgh
Break the Patterns That Keep Bringing You Back to Cigarettes or Vaping
You know why you should quit. You may have already tried — maybe more than once — and promised yourself, this is my last cigarette or I’m done with vaping.
But then stress happens. Or maybe it’s another trigger: you have your morning coffee, get in the car or someone around you lights up. Suddenly you’re reaching for a cigarette or vape again.
If this sounds familiar, the problem may be more than nicotine. At LifeWorksWithNat Hypnotherapy & Holistic Healing, we look deeper at the emotional, behavioral, and automatic patterns that can make quitting so difficult.
Why Is It So Hard to Quit Smoking?
Most smokers already know the health reasons to quit.
The difficult part is what happens when the urge takes over.
Do you recognize yourself in any of the scenarios below?
- You automatically smoke when you’re stressed or anxious.
- Coffee doesn’t feel the same without a cigarette.
- You smoke while driving or during work breaks.
- Alcohol or being around other smokers makes you want to smoke.
- You reach for a cigarette or vape without even thinking.
- You’ve quit before but eventually started again.
- You genuinely want to stop — but part of you still doesn’t want to let it go.
When this cycle keeps repeating, willpower alone may not be enough.
The better question to ask yourself may be: What keeps bringing me back to smoking or vaping?
Smoking Is More Than Nicotine
Nicotine dependence has a physical component, but smoking can also become deeply connected to stress relief, comfort, reward, social connection, taking a break, or simply having something familiar to rely on.
Over time, the brain learns these associations.
- Coffee leads to smoking or vaping
- Driving leads to smoking or vaping
- Stress requires smoking or vaping
- A break requires smoking or vaping
You may consciously want to quit, yet you automatically reach for the very thing you want to leave behind.
That’s why we look beyond nicotine and explore the emotions, habits, beliefs, experiences, and automatic responses connected to smoking and vaping.
What’s Really Keeping You Smoking?
One of the most frustrating parts of smoking is wanting to stop and still feeling pulled back to it.
You may feel disappointed in yourself after each cigarette. You tell yourself that you’ll quit tomorrow, Monday, after this pack, etc. — yet each time the cycle starts again.
For some people, smoking has become more than a habit. It may be connected to emotional pain, chronic stress, anxiety, past experiences, relationships, learned behaviors, or unresolved trauma.
That’s why our goal isn’t simply to take the cigarette away. We explore what smoking has been doing for you emotionally and what may be underneath the behavior.
By addressing those deeper needs and triggers, we aim to support change without simply replacing cigarettes or vapes with a different coping behavior such as overeating, excessive drinking, compulsive shopping, or any other unhealthy habit.
Understanding what cigarettes are doing for you emotionally can be an important part of learning how to let them go.
Smoking & Vaping
Cigarettes and vaping are different, but both can become connected to cravings, emotions, routines, and automatic behavior.
Vaping can be especially easy to repeat throughout the day because it may not have the same clear beginning and end as smoking a cigarette. Furthermore, vaping often leads to higher levels of nicotine in your body.
Whether you want to quit smoking, vaping, or both, we focus on understanding what activates the behavior and changing your response to those triggers.
How Hypnosis to Quit Smoking Works
Hypnosis allows us to work with patterns that may operate beyond everyday conscious awareness.
During hypnosis, you remain aware and in control while entering a relaxed, focused state where we can work with beliefs, emotional associations, triggers, and automatic responses connected to smoking or vaping.
At LifeWorksWithNat, we don’t believe one hypnosis script fits everyone.
After understanding your history and individual smoking patterns, we personalize the process and may integrate Hypnosis, Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Timeline Therapy, Mindset Coaching, Virtual Reality (VR) Therapy, and other therapeutic tools when appropriate.
This allows us to work with the conscious, subconscious, and deeper automatic levels of behavior rather than focusing only on the cigarette or vape itself.
How Quit Smoking Hypnosis Can Help
Imagine going through your day without constantly thinking about when you can smoke or vape next.
You finish your coffee without automatically reaching for a cigarette. You drive without needing to smoke. Stress happens, but smoking is no longer your immediate response. You can be around other smokers without feeling that you have to join them.
Our work is designed to support:
- Greater control when cravings or triggers appear
- Healthier responses to stress and difficult emotions
- Freedom from automatic smoking routines
- More confidence in social situations
- Less emotional dependence on cigarettes or vaping
- Greater confidence in your ability to maintain new habits
- A healthier, smoke-free lifestyle
The goal isn’t to spend every day fighting the urge to smoke. Instead, it’s learning how to become a non-smoker in a more natural and sustainable way in your everyday life.
What to Expect
We begin with a complimentary 30-minute consultation. We talk about your smoking or vaping history, previous attempts to quit, and what you would like to change.
Before trying to change the behavior, we want to understand it.
We explore your routines, emotional patterns, beliefs, significant experiences, and other factors that may help explain why smoking or vaping became important to you and what continues to trigger this behavior today.
There is no standard program for every client.
Your sessions are personalized according to what we discover, how you respond, and what you need throughout the process.
As deeper patterns are addressed, we work on strengthening healthier emotional responses, beliefs, and everyday behaviors to support your smoke-free life.
Most clients work with us for 1–12 sessions, though you may achieve your desired results more quickly. Some clients benefit from additional sessions depending on their goals, history, the complexity of the underlying issues, and individual progress.
Is Hypnosis Effective for Smoking Cessation?
We guarantee results when you are truly committed to the process. Many of our clients begin seeing changes after just 1 session, and 99% of our clients achieve their goals when they attend sessions regularly, follow our instructions and recommendations, and remain committed to the process.
Our approach is different because we don’t focus only on taking away the cigarette or vape. We work to identify and address the root causes that may be driving the need to smoke or vape, including cravings, emotional dependence, automatic habits, and repeated triggers.
These root causes may include past or childhood trauma, unresolved emotions, chronic stress, anxiety, loneliness, difficult relationships, limiting beliefs, negative experiences, learned behaviors, and deeply rooted subconscious patterns.
For many people, the problem isn’t a lack of desire to quit. They already know why they should stop smoking or vaping.
The challenge is changing the automatic response when stress, emotions, cravings, social situations, or familiar routines take over.
By working with the deeper patterns behind smoking or vaping, our goal is not simply to help you quit temporarily, but to support lasting change — without replacing cigarettes or vaping with another unhealthy habit or addictive behavior.
Client Success Stories
After just 2 sessions, Natalya helped me to quit smoking. Her method of combining hypnotherapy, EFT tapping and suggesting books to read has been a great experience for me. I have continued to work with her on my journey of becoming a better person and with better focus, among other things. I would highly encourage you to consider her, she is very talented in these areas. Thank you Nat!!!
I went to Nat to quit smoking. In our intake, she said, you know this isn’t about quitting smoking right? There’s something much deeper. I said, “I know, and I’m ready.” This isn’t the sort of mind control hypnosis type of stuff you might think about from cartoons. It’s about really tapping into your subconscious, understanding who you see yourself as versus who you think you are. It took me several sessions to “quit” smoking, which ultimately was just a way to cope with life’s stresses. I came to love myself and trust in God. When she says this is life transformation, it’s true, in the sense that she helps you tap into what you already know to be true. I can say, unequivocally, that Nat is the partner you want. She is responsive, engaging, and truly there to see your transformation complete. Mindset is everything and if you don’t fix that first, nothing else matters.
Nat helped me get to the root causes of my smoking issues and past trauma. I found her website when researching hypnotherapy BUT, deep inside, I realized I needed more than hypnotherapy. She validated the root causes I always thought were true but I just needed to know HOW to turn things around. I looked forward to every session and know that she will be there for me in the future if I need her. On my first visit, she welcomed me with open arms, an open heart and an open mind, Thank you Nat.
